I Generally bright prospects for crops in all parts of the state except the dry sections of northern Virginia are forecast by the Virginia Crop Reporting Service, a joint agency of the VirginiaDepartment of Agriculture and USDA. Here are the highlights of the report released today: TOBACCO: Flue-cured tobacco production is forecast at 107,300,000 pounds, 21 per cent below last year and eight per cent lower than the 195963 average. A yield of 1850 pounds per acre is indicated^ 15 per cent below last year's ! record yield. Acreage is esti| mated at 58,000 acres, down 8 per cent from the 1964 average.
Fire-cured tobacco yield should be 1300 pounds per acre, up 4 per cent from 1964, Acreage is estimated at 7,400 acres, compared with 7,300 acres last year. Production of 9,620,000 pounds is forecast,
