Last Thursday a single-ve- : hide collision resulted in the < injury of two women who were i thrown from their car after 1 skidding and striking a bank near Ben Venue on Route 211. Elizabeth Bertha Mallender of Springfield, operating a 62 Buick sedan, skidded on wet pavement on a curve and struck the bank on the left of the highway according to Trooper W. A. Cuntin. She sustained a fracture of her lower thigh and an injured hip. Jean O’Connell, a passenger in the car, received a fractured shoulder and broken ribs They were taken to Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton by Amiss ville and Flint Hill Rescue Squads.
Trooper Buntin estimated damage to the vehicle at $200.
