iviunuay illuming, juiy iv at 8 a.m. on Route 522 in Flint Hill a 65 Olds F85 operated by Harry F. Stimpson III of Boyce skidded off the right of the road and struck a rock wall. Stimpson applied his brakes to avoid striking a 64 Plymouth Valiant operated by Mrs. Eva L. Smith of Flint Hill, who had backed from her driveway. Gravel had washed across the highway from Sunday's storm and the Stimpson vehicle . skidded when the brakes were applied, said Trooper Buntin. Danage was estimated at $200. At 7 p.m. Sunday evening a single vehicle crash occurred on Route 211 two miles east of Sperryville. Sherman Wayne Jones of Springfield, Va. driving a 65 Comet coupe lost control of his vehicle, stuck a concrete bridge railing and went over the bank, according to Trooper J. B. Willis.

Jones sustained lacerations of the right hand and elbow. Alphus Waldo Hall of Herndon a passenger in the car, received a lacerated eye and bruised chest.

Jones was charged with reck less driving, said Mr. Willis. Another accident occurred at the same location a little later. Walter Samuel Dose of Aberdeen, Md. operating a 62 Ford attempted to stop for the line of traffic at the accident when he skidded sideways. Following him was Edith M. Griffith of Washington, D. C.
