USCGA Appointment
Washington -- Rep. John O. Marsh, Jr., has directed the attention of high school graduates to the coming annual competitive examinations for appointment to the United States Coast Guard Aca demy. Marsh emphasized that there are no Congressional appointments to this academy, and that admissions are based on College Entrance Examination Board tests to be administered on December 4th at more that three thousand test centers across the nation. “Young men who will have reached their 17th birthday by July 1/ 1966, but will riot have reached the 22nd birthday are eligible to compete, and the fine course at this academy, leading to a commission as a career officer in the Coast Guard and to a Bachelor of Science Degree, should be of interest to many high school graduates and to young men who will be graduas ing next June,” the 7th District Congressman commented.
