Heifer Brucellosis Vaccinations have been scheduled for July 20 and 21. Final requests totaled 162 head on 19 farms. Dr. W. L. Wake will do the work according to schedules, whict\ have been mailed. Last year Rappahannock led all Virginia counties in percentage of total heifers vaccinated! So far in ’65 no such acclaim can be made.
Come see and watch our flower bed located beside our new quarters. I call it a lazy man’s flower garden as weeds are held under control by a plastic cover covered lightly with pine tags for beautification purposes. The flower plants are from that gracious lady, Mrs. William Williamson of Woodville; the plastic, which was donated by Alphaeus Cannon of Castleton, was too worn for a silo cover but satisfactory to use as a mulch substitute for controlling weeds and conserving moisture.
