Joe Weaver, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Weaver, had the misfortune to break his ankle Sunday. He was taken to the Culpeper Memorial Hospital and transferred to the University of Virginia Hospital. Edward Dorsey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence B. Dorsey, left Monday morning for Fort Bragg, N. C. Mrs. Iris Brooke spent the week-end visiting her son-inlaw and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Johnson in Crooked Run. Lt. Col. and Mrs. Norman Wilbur gave a birthday party Saturday afternoon honoring the fifth birthday of their son Eric. Friends who came to help him celebrate the event were Kyle Bryan of Novum and Douglas Weaver of Slate Mills. Mr. and Mrs. Brice Biggers joined friends from Culpeper Sunday and enjoyed a cook-out at the Fredericksburg Memorial Park. Carter white attended the William andMary-Citadelfoot ball game October 15 ih Williamsburg.
