Mr. Beahm Bags Second “Honey” Bear
A bear's sweet tooth again proved costly Wednesday morning when George William Beahm killed a 175 pound fe-{ male bear stealing honey from his bee hives. This is the second bear Mr. Beahm has killed in the past three weeks both stealing honey and destroying hives. The young lady was seen around the hives Tuesday evening and when she returned Wednesday morning for another sampling of honey, Mr. Beahm shot her with his 7.65 rifle. Game Warden J. W. Simson was contacted and investigated the incident.
Rummage Sale Closes After Successful Run
From the sale of pots, pans, hats and shoes and other articles donated by the citizens of this community the Ladies Auxiliary to Washington Fire department and Rescue Squad made from its May and September 1966 Sales $680.50. This was $115.45 over 1965 sales. The Ladies wish to express a very deep appreciation to all those who sq graciously gave their time and salable articles to make this sale a success again this year.
