Advisory Coun. Meets
The sixth annual meeting of the Advisory Council to the College of Agriculture and the College of Home Economics at Virginia Tech will be held Nov. 3 and 4. The meeting on the Blacksburg campus will begin with a luncheon Thursday, Nov. 3. That night, Dr. R. W. Engel, associate dean for research, College, of Agriculture, will speak on “Feeding the People of the World." Friday, the council will review the resident teaching pro grams in the two colleges. Its members will also make a short tour of some of the laboratory teaching areas on the campus. The advisory council is made up of more than 75 state leaders who work in agriculture and related fields. Its function is to give counsel to the College of Agriculture and the College of Home Economics as they adjust their pro grams of teaching, research and extension to better serve Virginia’s changing industry of agriculture. Council chairman is Charles W. Wampler Jr. of Harrisonburg. Mrs. Bar bar a Gentry of Flint Hill, who is a member of the Advisory Council from Rappahannock, will be attending this meeting.
