While cleanliness standards and practices continue to improve,: figures show that the cost of keeping clean has been declining relative to other family expenses. The average housewife spends only about $26.00 annually for these supplies with about 30 lbs. being used per person per year. If you are wondering what foods will be plentiful in November the USD A lists the following as an answer: grape§ peas, dry. beans, pork, turkey and raisins. When foods are plentiful prices are relatively lower so check the local stores and shop wisely. A laundry hint for your new knit garments: to prevent them from snagging or stretching put each garment into a mesh bag or pillow case. With the spookiest night of the year coming up, here is some Halloween advice for the mothers - and neighbors - of the young ghosts, witches and hobgoblins. If the “spirits" mark up your windows, don’t be unduly alarmed.
