From a county with a total population of over 5,000 there should be enough healthy adults, ages 18 through 60, to produce a blood supply of 50 pints. That is the quota, 50 pints, set for the semi-annual visit of the Red Cross Bloodmobile in Rappahannock County on Tuesday, November 8. The unit will set up "at TrlhityEpiscopal Parrish Hall, Washington, Va., with hours from 12 noon until 6 p.m, Everyone who is able is urged, requested, begged asked and beseeched to present himself at the bloodmobile as a donor. Those under 18 years of age must have signed permission from a pa* ent to donate. Transportation will be provided for anyone wishing to go to the bloodmobile who does not have a way. Since Bloodmobile Day is also election day, campaign to induce a friend or neighbor to go to the bloodmobile; elect to, not only meet the quota, but double it, thereby casting a vote to maintain a good status in the volunteer blood program. If the county does not keep donations to a prescribed level, it will eventually lose out completely. Being a donor is insurance that you or a member of your family might receive blood if needed.
