Apple Jelly Sale
The Rappahannock Jaycees have scheduled Sunday, March 2 as “Apple Jelly Sunday” in the county and will sell jars of apple jelly in. a door-to-door sales campaign. Proceeds of the jelly sales at $1 per jar, will be applied to aid in the establishment of a camp for retarded children. When established, the camp will be located in central Virginia. Sonny Brown of Sperryville is coordinator of the sales campaign.
The local Jaycees will be assisted by a group of young people in selling their 480 jars ol jelly. The sale is a state wide program of the Jaycees and all proceeds will go to the camp foi mentally retarded children.
