Foul* killed the Panther* Tuesday a* they fell to Central 76-71. Rappahannock pulled to a quick 23-13 first quarter lead and were ahead 42-38 at half time. When the third quarter ended, the Falcon* had narrowed the tnarrin to aix, 61-55. Just before the third quarter ended, Charlie Dodaon fouled out. Midway through the Anal
period Reeve, 8ettle and John Deal, four of Panther starters, were all on the bench with Ave fouls. Central then outscored Rappahannock 21-10 In the Anal period to pall out the win.
Reeve again was the big gun, collecting 25 points. Dodson had 17 while Settle chipped in 12. Lloyd Spinner and Gary Leake both scored season highs of 32 points for Central. The Rappahannock Jayvees, however, were, victorious.
The Panthers end the season with a 6-12 record and have gained a berth in the District 10 tournament which begins Monday. The Panthers and Page County Anished in a tie sixth place. Rappahannock will meet Broadway, the No. 2 team, at Handley High in Winchester Monday night. Montevideo plays Page County in the other Handley quarter Anal. Meanwhile Monday at Harrisonburg High Turner Ashby plays Central while Luray will meet the winner of a Stonewall JacksonStrasburg play-off game. Both Anished the season with 4-14 marks.
The Handley winners meet Tuesday at Harrisonburg and the Harrisonburg winners meet at Handley. The two winners meet for the championship Wednesday at Harrisonburg. Turner Ashby is the defending District 10 champion.
