Mr*. Annie M. Yowell
A funeral service was held Sunday at Geest funeral chapel, Culpeper, for Mrs. Annie Mae Yowell, of Reva widow of Luther Bernard Yowell, who died Friday, February 14, 1969 at a Culpeper boarding home at the age of 84. Hie Rev. Dott Bryan officiated. Interment was in Novum Baptist Cemetery.
She was a native of Madison County, daughter of the late John Hawkins and the late Lucy Frances Campbell Hawkins.
Survivors include two sons, Lester Yowell of Boston and Odell Yowell of Reva; seven daughters, Mrs. Oscar Dodson of Boston, Mrs. Clarence Batten of Manquin, Mrs. James M. Aylor and Mrs. Bumam Hawkins, both of Reva, Mrs. Maylon Aylor of Madison, Miss Eolia Yowell of Staunton and Mrs. Moffett Jenkins of Culpeper; one sister, Mrs. Ashby Richards of Brightwood; 29 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Grandsons who served as pallbearers were Clarence Batten, Jr., Oscar Dodson, Jr., Augustus Yowell, Herbert Aylor, Maylon Aylor, Jr., and Kemper Aylor.
