Gap Fire Company, presented a few words of< memory and in recognition of two deceased members of the group: M. A. Greeley, who founded the organization and Garfield Williams, a Stalwart member. He urged the present group of his fellow firemen to continue the work and to follow the pattemlaid out by these men.
A hand of appreciation was given the ladies of the Chester Gap community for the fine dinner and hospitality of the evening.
A suggestion was made by Mrs. Bradley Williams that the community re-organize the Chester Gap Citizens Association, founded by Mr. Greeley, also, and from which the fire company grew. A meeting was scheduled for Monday night.
The Rev. Mathena pronounced the benediction.
