Col. and Mrs. Eugene Winters of Alexandria and New Jersey were visitors Saturday of Col. and Mrs. E. A. McNear at Greenwood and were the McNear’s dinner guests at Graves Mountain Lodge. Col. Winters was formerly commanding officer at Warrenton Training Center.

Dr. and Mrs. G. Tyler Miller of Harrisonburg were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. W. Arthur Miller and accompanied them to the Trail Ride picnic at Montpelier.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard McNear have recently moved to their new home at Greenwood Farm.

Mary Brooke Massie and George Massie spent the week-end with their grandmother Mrs. George L. Wallihan in Front Royal.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Faulconer and two daughters of Orange spent the week-end with Mrs. W. M. Fletcher and accompanied her to the trail ride picnic at Montpelier.

Mrs. W. H. Massie, jr. spent the weekend with her son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Eastham at Red Hill Farm, Amissville. Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Lee of Oxon Hill, Md. were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ashby Wayland. Sunday guests were Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wayland and two sons Mike and Eddie of Manassas and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Wood of Reva.

Miss Irene Keyser was honored Sunday afternoon with a surprise birthday party. Arranging the party were Mr and Mrs. Kermit Weakley and Mr. and Mrs. Harlon Harper. Others attending included Ella Mae, Nola, Chuck and Carlton Harper, Mrs. Ashby Wayland, Mrs. B. H. Lee, Mrs. Thomas Wayland and two sons. Miss Keyser was a Sunday supper guest of Mrs. H. M. Keyser. Mrs. Richard Tuma was a visitor Sunday of her son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. John Scott Tuma in Rockville, Md.
