Sponsor Public Supper
Amissville Methodist Church women will serve a public supper at the church social hall on Saturday, May 1,1971 beginning at 5 p.m. It will feature old Virginia ham and fried chicken. The public is extended a cordial invitation. The menu for the supper in addition to the entrees will be potatoes, corn pudding, cole slaw, hot rolls, cake or pie and coffee or tea.
RCHS Senior Play
May Sth and 7th
The Senior Class of Rappahannock County High School will present a play, “The Courtship of Eddie’s Father,” by Anne Coulter Martens. The three-act comedy will be given on Wednesday, May 5 and on Friday, May 7 in the school auditorium.
Eddie (Maury Nichols) after returning from a visit at his aunts, decides that his father Tom Corbett (C.G. Thornhill) should remarry. Tom is surrounded with young women who each try to win the affection of Eddie and Tom.
First act starts al 8 p.m. and admission is $1.25 for adults and 75 cents for students. Don’t miss this touching comedy.
