Mrs. Bertha Peyton
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church at Reva for Mrs. Bertha Gibson Peyton, 86, of Culpeper. The Rev. Gordon George conducted the service. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Peyton died April 25, 1971 at her residence. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary Whetstine of Culpeper, seven grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren.
A native of Rappahannock County, Mrs. Peyton had lived in Culpeper for many years. She was the widow of Joe Peyton and the daughter of Willis A. and Edwina Gore Manuel.
