Several boys tried out for the Marine Youth Physical Fitness test held Saturday at Baltimore. Those attending were Charles Thomas, Maury Nichols, Ronnie Jenkins, Ernie Dennis, Bill Taylor and Tom Taylor. Our school won a sportsmanship Award for which we are very proud. We had the pleasure of hearing the Virginia State High School Chorus from Bristol, Va. Wednesday. They were on tour and were planning to go to Washington, D. C. Thursday.
