Dr. Katherine Oettinger and Mrs. Mary S. Van Brederode of Washington ventured out on the trail ride Sunday for the first time. They joined the large assemblage of riders who left Double Gates at noon to ride to Montpelier via the Lee Payne residence near Woodville where refreshments were served. The just right day, sunny and crisp, was embellished with the aroma of apple blossoms, lilacs, dogwood and redbud, to make a perfect setting for a leisurely ride.
