Richmond, Va. . . .Out of state motorists and traveling Virginians will shortly be asked to report any traffic safety hazards to the Virginia Highway Safety Division, John T. Hanna, the Division’s Director, announced today.
Hanna said that with the cooperation of the Virginia Hotel arid Motel Association special post cards will be placed in rooms. The cards, stamped and return addressed to the Division, will contain space for reporting the location, type of hazard and suggestions for remedying. There will also be space for the sender’s name and address on an optional basis. Information received will be screened by the Division and, if appropriate, forwarded to the state or local agency most concerned.
“This project, we feel, will not only give the individual the opportunity to participate in the state’s overall highway safety program but should be a valuable source of information for officials charged with formulating and promoting it,” he said.
