Annual WSCS
District Meeting
The annual meeting of the Charlottesville District Women’s Society of Christian Service and Wesleyan Service Guilds will be held on Thursday, May 6 at the First United Methodist Church, Charlottesville, beginning at 10 a.m. with the District President, Mrs. Ralph D. Richardson presiding. The theme for the meeting is “God is Here, Let’s Celebrate!”.
Mrs. Kenneth Lawless,
president of the* \VSCS* of the hostess church will give the welcome and the response will be made by Mrs. Henry W. Burruss, District Vice-president. A film, “Saris in the 70’s” will be shown by Mrs. Henry Emerson, a former missionary to India, now residing in Charlottesville. Mrs. R. Maxwell Willis will pay special tribute to the Wesleyan Service Guilds who are observing their 50th anniversary. Mrs. Harry Born, now serving the Virginia Conference as vicepresident of the WSCS of Vienne, Va., will be the guest speaker.
