win Sunday, defeating The Plains Cardinals 13-7 in the first game, Excellent batting from Scott Zeimer—four hits for four times at tot—Arthur Garrison and Benjy Atkins, “each three hits for four times, helped to produce the 19 hits by the Early Birds. Sonny Williams was the winning pitcher holding the Cardinals to 13 hits.
Strong defense and excellent hitting by all netted a win in the second game also. Spectacular outfielding was done by Doug Shroeder, Mike Paul and Scott Ziemer. Roger Cordani was the winning pitcher allowing The Plains 11 hits.
