The Republican party of Virginia held a seminar for all unit chairmen at Alexandria on Saturday, April 26, prior to the dinner attended that evening by President Gerald Ford.
Carroll B. Quaintance, past Rappahannock chairman, Mrs. John G. Carney, Jr., present cochairman, and Ltc. John G. Carney, Jr., Chairman of the Rappahannock County Electoral Board, were among the many who were present for the day-long meeting.
The group received an updating on the Federal and State election laws now prevailing, with detailed lectures from officers of the State and National Republican Party.
