LAVONNE ADKINS, a fifth grade student at Rappahannock County Elementary school, received top honors for her poster “Conservation, What Can I Do?” Miss Adkins was awarded a certificate at the Virginia Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts Area II meeting held in Culpeper on April 30.

Miss Adkins’s poster was selected as the best in the Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District. This competition involved fourth through sixth grade students in Rappahannock, Orange, Greene, Madison and Culpeper Counties.
