A COALITION of local groups and individuals in the RapidanRappahannock river basin is forming to provide the Virginia Commission on Outdoor Recreation with citizen’s views of the study of the two rivers. The coalition hopes to serve as a clearinghouse for information on the Rappahannock and the Rapidan rivers, and aid the COR in its study to see whether the rivers should be designated state or federal scenic rivers.
The COR has planned two public meetings to provide interested citizens with information. The first one is May 14 at the Brooks Park Activities Center in Falmouth, and the other is May 15 at the Culpeper County High School auditorium. Both start at 7:30. George L.
