DOROTHY DAVIS told the Supervisors that she hadn’t spent any of the $300 the Supervisors had appropriated last year for the Bicentennial. “But I’ll be spending $50 soon,” she said. After Mrs. Davis briefed the Supervisors on plans for the Bicentennial, George Davis remarked; “It might not cost the county anything, but I hate to think what it’s costing me.”

“That’s okay,” H.B. Wood said. “Let’s place the cost on those who can most afford it.”

Mrs. Davis reminded the Supervisors that they have been asked to appoint two people from their district to serve as directors of the county-wide Bicentennial program. □
