ever! The highlight of last weekend for many Juniors and Seniors was the prom which- was held Saturday night. The Juniors put in a long evening’s work Friday decorating and preparing the gym from 3:10 to midnight. The efforts seem to pay off, for all seemed to really enjoy themselves. The band was great, which made the evening even nicer. The theme of the prom was “Color My World” which is very fitting, for I think the prom brightened up at least the weekend for many!
Our annual athletic banquet will be held soon though a date has not yet been set.
AT THIS writing our baseball team has played two games so far this week. Monday was our last game when the Panthers played Montevideo. It was a close game though our opponents managed to pull ahead in the last couple of innings. We were defeated 5-3. Our Panthers received a lot of spectacular support which was really great.
Tuesday’s away game with Elkton did not bring a victory again for RCHS. However the score was close with a final 4-3. Hang in there Panthers—we’ll make the playoffs yet.
Both our boys and girls track teams competed in district meets last week—both bringing back results we were proud of.
