A new deputy and full-time secretary for the sheriffs department were the first two items to go as the Rappahannock Supervisors began work on the county’s budget at last Thursday’s Board meeting.
The Supervisors heard funding requests from the sheriffs department, school system, library, Welfare Department, Chapter 10 and the Health Department before retiring to an almost hour long executive session with county auditor Walter Cox.
