Wakefield Country Day School in Huntly held its End-of-the-Year Exercises Tuesday evening before a capacity crowd.
Held in the school auditorium following a procession of students and faculty, the exercises celebrated the close of Wakefield’s fourth year and the scholarship and special achievement of students in grades one through eight.
In opening remarks, Wakefield’s Administrator William Lynn traced the rapid growth and development of the school during the past four years and announced an enrollment of 165 students in Kindergarten through grade 9 for next year. Now serving students in Rappahannock, Warren, Fauquier, Frederick, and Shenandoah counties, Wakefield began operations in the fall of 1972 with 35
