Managing change requires understanding its sources. The Rappahannock News has contributed to this and can further. One force of change which the News has noted is from within. There is a decline in the interest of the County youth to continue the farming traditions leaving the question, who will keep the County as it was? Also, as important is the fact that many farmers are unable to continue making a living at farming because of rising feed, and material costs. The outside forces for change are persons who you correctly identify as seeking the beauty of the County’s hills, streams, meadows and general peace. These are people like myself who work 5 days in the city but who cherish the land. We
