The marriage of Miss Peggie Ann Hitt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie R. Hitt of Amissville, to James S. Woodard, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Staton Woodard, Sr. of Climax, N. C., took place June 4,1977.
The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Ray Crockett in the Amissville United Methodist Church at two o’clock. Mrs. Landra Silvey was organist.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a gown of lace over satin with a detachable train edged in lace which was fashioned by the bride and her mother. She had an elbow length veil and carried a bouquet of white and yellow roses.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Dorothy Weibel of Manassas, the bride’s aunt. She wore a green empire gown and carried a bouquet of yellow and white daisies.
Mrs. Brenda Clark, a cousin of the bride, and Mrs. Debbie Flock, both of Amissville, were bridesmaids. Their yellow gowns were identical to that of the honor attendant and their flowers
