MR. AND MRS. GILBERT UPDIKE of Washington celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Monday with members of their senior citizens group which meets at Hampton Inn. The Updikes were married at her residence on March 20, 1918. The Rev. Tom Brown, pastor of Mt. Salem Baptist Church, performed the ceremony. She wore the Easter corsage which the seniors made last week in their first craft project and she had baked a cake for the meeting.
