At last week’s meeting of the Rappahannock Planners, Commonwealth s Attorney George Davis said he would be disappointed if there weren’t complaints about his wife’s application to rezone three and a half acres from agriculture to business. We’d certainly hate to disappoint Mr. Davis and so we’re going to be among the first to register disapproval over the way our county government is handling the rezoning application. Davis has spoken out time and again at public meetings against accomodation of developers. This time, however, it appears that Davis has found himself in the role of the developer seeking accomodation. And not only does it look like accomodation but also as an attempt to violate at least the intent of the county zoning ordinance—the same ordinance that Mr. Davis holds in such high regard.
First, the Supervisors met in executive session last Wednesday and among other actions, authorized advertising for a public hearing on the Davis rezoning at the next Supervisors
