COMMUNICATION FAILURE The Chairman of the Supervisors put in a better-Iate-than-never appearance at the BZA meeting on Hmrsday to explain his Board’s action. Col. E. P. Luke wanted to talk in executive session but the BZA members refused to go into a closed meeting without hearing from the Commonwealth’s Attorney on what constituted legal grounds for the executive session. George Davis refused to “come upstairs” to the courtroom, and so after a few angry words, Luke departed with discussing the consent order.
This is no way to run county government. We must insist that laws relating to proper procedure and complete openness be observed.
