Plans are being finalized for a unique summer program for children ages 212 at Sursum Corda School and Child Care Center in Washington. For the first time ever in Rappahannock County, parents will be able to enroll their pre-schoolers and school-age children in either a part-time or full-time recreational-instructional program for the summer months. The program will run from June 12 through August 25 from 8:30 to 5:00 each day.
Adults who will be working in the summer program are Camille Harris, school and child care center director, and Helene Schiff, teacher. A third person will be hired for additional help in teaching the arts to children with grant money made available through CETA funds.
Sursum Corda will be offering recreational and instructional activities for two groups of children. For
