pageant is to bring to the people of Virginia some idea of what handicapped people have to deal with...the barriers when they go into a building. We hope to promote the idea of barrierfree buildings, so that life will be a little easier. And then there are some attitudes people have about the handicapped that really are not justified, and we want them to see these beautiful people as they are.”
Judging will be on accomplishments, poise, personality and personal appearance.
The new Miss Wheelchair Virginia will participate in the Miss Wheelchair America Pageant at Columbus, Ohio on August.
