The Miss Wheelchair Pageant will be held in Richmond’s Scottish Rite Temple, Saturday, May 27, at 8 p.m. The Pageant’s theme is, “Carnival in May.”
Vying for the crown now held by Miss Marsha Lee Altice of Danville will be 14 ladies in wheelchairs from "all over the state." Miss Linda Gail Mannon of Amissville is among the contestants. Virginia's First Lady, Mrs. John N. Dalton, is Honorary Chairman for the event and the pageant contestants will meet her Friday prior to a news conference.
