ihe RLEP will hold its quarterly meeting at the Court House in Washington on Friday, June 2 at 7:30 p.m. It is hoped that the members and the public at large will attend this forum since the format will be similar to that of a "town meeting.” There will be a film shown, The Region in Change, which depicts the impact of change on the environment and the lives of the people of the Southern Highlands Region, an area which is said to be not dissimilar from Rappahannock County and environs in many respects. This stimulating film, written and produced by Allen Stovall of the University of Virginia Division of Landscape Architecture, will form a background for further discussion.
Delegate George Beard, who represents this area in the State Legislature, and Richard McNear, the Director of Planning and Zoning for Fauquier County, will discuss the status of land-use planning on state and local levels. The discussants will respond to
