The Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District's Board of Directors chose H. S. Barksdale of Flint Hill as their Vice Chairman for 1979. Mr. Barksdale has been a Director of the Culpeper SWCD for many years. He was reelected to the Board for another two year term in November. He succeeds Overton Weaver of Madison County as Vice Chairman.
Prior to becoming a Director, Barksdale received an award for his long term commitment to conservation at his Ruff and Ready Farm.
The Culpeper SWCD encompasses Culpeper, Greene, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock Counties. Each county has two Directors elected in a general ®
