A , 10th_ grader from Rappahannock County High School has been nominated to attend the 1979 Governor’s School for the Gifted. f Judith L.' Bloomer, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. William J. Bloomer of Sperryville, will be among the more than 600 students throughout the state considered for this honor. Only 420 students will be selected to attend the school which will run from June 17 through July 18, 1979.

Christmas

Party

The Sperryville Bridge Club held their annual Christmas party on Friday night at Cab-Inn, the home of Mrs. R. E. Thompsen with a covered dish dinner and the exchange of gifts followed by bridge.

Those attending were Mrs. 1. R. Kilby, Mrs. Brown Miller. Mrs. Mary Quaintance, Mrs. R. E. Wood, Mrs. C. E. Johnson Jr., Mrs. T. J. Pillar, Mrs. W. H. Cordle, M(rs. Dale Metzinger, Mrs. Charles K. Estes, Mrs. Roy L. Reeve, Mrs. Hugh Chrisman, Mrs. Charles H. Estes, Mrs. E. A. McNear, Mrs. W. H. Lyne and Mrs. Elmo Flynt.

Mrs. Kilby, Mrs. Pillar and Mrs. Reeve were the prize winners.
