Robert H. Jenkins, Jr. of Manassas has completed a sixteen week course on basic police principles at the Northern Virginia Regional Police Academy in Fairfax. Of the 48 graduates, Jenkins placed second academically. He is an officer with the Prince William County Police Department.
Jenkins, a former resident of Rappahannock, was Corrections Officer with the Rappahannock County Sheriff s Department from January 1976 until April of this year, when he resigned to join the Prince William force.
He is assigned to patrol and is stationed at the county headquarters there. In an interview Tuesday, Jenkins said he felt that if it had not been for the good training and guidance he had received under Sheriff Buntin in Rappahannock,and the experience there, his present
