Washington customers can subscribe to Tele-Plan to either Front Royal or Culpeper, or both at one time. Tele-Plan rates apply only to calls from Washington to Front Royal and Culpeper, respectively.
Circle Calling, the other new optional calling plan, will be available in April. The new service involves long distance calling to 18 exchanges within a 23-mile "circle" of Washington.
Circle Calling works like this: for a monthly fee of $1.75. Washington subscribers can make long distance calls to any of the 18 exchanges (listed below) and get an average 30 per cent discount off regular toll rates.
Circle Calling discounts vary according to the time and day of each call, but average 30 per cent lower than regular long distance calls.
