Sperryvllle, Virginia. On Saturday. March 1. the 31st running of the Rappahannock Point-to-Point Races will be held at Thornton Hill Farm, 2 miles south of Sperryville on Route 522. This colorful event begins at 11:00 a.m. with “pair races"—one for fast time and one for optimum time—and ends with the traditional foxhound race. The beautiful Rappahannock Course is in excellent shape.
In addition to regular timber and hurdle races, Rappahannock's 10-race card will include the New Mount Marshall for foxhunters. in which riders and mounts must have hunted with an organized hunt this past season. A
