With the current gas shortage resulting in low supplies and high expenses, many Virginia farmers are considering the use of gasohol in their tractors and farm trucks.
“Although gasohol works well when used as a substitute for gasoline, it requires some special attention in safety-related areas.” says Glen H. Hetzel, Extension specialist in farm safety at Virginia Tech.
Gasohol evaporates rapidly and tends to build up high pressure inside a fuel tank.

The Congressional Senior Citizen Intern Program will be conducted in the nation's capital from May 5-16 this spring, and Congressman J. Kenneth Robinson is again inviting interested residents of the Seventh Congressional District aged 60 or older to make application to his Washington office if they are interested in filling the twoweek job.
This will be the fifth year that Robinson has named a senior citizen from the 21county. 4-city district to participate in the program of seminars and briefings on Capitol Hill that focus on issues of interest to older Americans. Officials from both the executive and legislative branches of government customarily address the seminar sessions.
