The Governor has authorized an increase in the maximum amount of assistance a household can receive through the CSA component of the Fuel Assistance Program. The new maximum is $400.
Although the maximum entitlement for families with children will remain at $200, a household may be eligible for additional funds through the CSA program. No household can receive more than $400 through any combination of Emergency Assistance, CSA funds, and the special SSI Energy allowance checks received in January.
To reapply, a household must fill out a new application. Households with earned income must bring pay slips or earnings statements for the 90 days prior to the application date. No new verifications will be necessary for elderly and disabled people with no changes in income or resources.
