EMPLOYEES’ RIGHTS A reportedly helpful idea, posting notices of employees' rights under Virginia rightto-work laws, was killed in the Senate Commerce and Labor Committee.
Rappahannock's Sen. Nathan H. Miller proposed Senate Bill 125 to require the state Department of Labor and Industry to display such notices in “places of employment."
“We had testimony from the National Right-to-Work Committee, the Virginia State Chamber of Commerce and a private citizen from my district who was the victim of repeated harassment when she refused to join the union where she worked," said Sen. Miller. “Obviously." he said, “the labor leadership had done their homework."
