ship on the drug stores. We will have to wait and see. It goes into effect in 1982 if it passes the Senate. ’’

Tomorrow a bill comes up to remove a tax on alcohol. Yours truly will be casting a No vote against this rascal.

It was discovered that a couple of agencies’ budget requests were in error, so these funds have been shifted to education, corrections and mental health. Some of us have been trying to get more funds for Medicaid and Medicare.

I got a call from a dentist in Orange who uses this program to care of the indigent children and the elderly. He requested a $2 increase because of the rapid increase in the cost of silver. So far we have not been successful.

There are more than 30 agencies requesting increases in their budgets and more than half of them will not be successful. If we cannot get a replacement on the food tax there has got to be an increase in the Medicaid and Medicare fund for the Senior Citizens. Their number is steadily increasing so the need is there.

There is a bill. House Bill 731. which will reduce retirement funds for State employees and I believe we have enough Delegates lined up to kill this legislation. The ( patron has a suspicion of this movement and plans to * amend it before it reaches the House. It will not fly unless it is right, if you pardon the pun I believe you can “bank on it.”

That's all for now. I hope all the good folks in the 25th Legislative District had a Happy Valentine’s Day cause some of the comics down here didn't make out so good today.
