"When I heard the news, 1 was so excited! I rushed to our library and grabbed the atlas and reference books, trying to find Sperryville. We did find it too,” she remembered with a smile.
After locating the little Rappahannock village that first time, Miss Lucy has returned again and again. “I like this area so very much,” she explained.
Has she noticed any differences in 25 years? ‘‘Actually, I see very few changes," said Miss Lucy, now retired. "That’s what 1 like about Rappahannock. It's always been beautiful and it’s still beautiful, unspoiled.”
