Birgitt Thornhill. Rappahannock extension home agent, said that the past year has been a busy one for 4-H members but that she would like to see the program expanded and enlarged by enrolling additional youngsters into the different 4-H programs. She stressed that all the local clubs are self-supporting, raising the necessary funds for special projects through their own efforts. For example, members of the livestock club gave away a Iamb and pig at the Fourth-of-July celebration here. Other groups hold bake sales to raise needed funds.
