—Rappahannock New* Photo/Daphne Hutchinson DEE-DEE GRANT, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Eldred of Washington and a senior at Rappahannock County High School, was selected last week for the Virginia Honors Chorus, one of 50 chosen from approximately 500 hopefuls who auditioned two weeks ago in Richmond and Roanoke. The first youngster ever picked from Rappahannock for the special chorus, DeeDee said she was “shocked—and excited—and honored—and embarrassed” when she heard the news. An accomplished vocalist, she starred last year in the RCHS production of “Hello Dolly” and has been a featured performer in regional 4-H Performing Arts Holidays.
